Abstract

Critical Care Medicine is a Branch of Medicine Intended for Patients who Require Constant Monitoring

Authors: Siniša Franji.

Critical care medicine is a branch of medicine that deals with providing life support or organ system support to
critically ill patients who usually require constant monitoring. Critical care medicine is a relatively new specialty of
constantly growing importance. The critical care unit should ideally be the place of treatment for those patients whose
condition is potentially reversible, who have a good chance of survival with intensive treatment. Critically ill patients
are often on the edge of death, so it is very difficult to predict the success of treatment.
